COVID-19 Courthouse Procedures
UPDATE: Effective Immediately. All doors to the courthouse will be locked at all times to include during business hours. Anyone wishing to conduct business at the courthouse will be required to call the office they wish to visit BEFORE entering the building. Staff from that office will then provide access through the back door by the paved parking lot only. Once they have verified there are no symptoms of illness, they will then escort the customer to the office to conduct business. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we remain dedicated to provide safety to everyone while still striving to provide customer service. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and patience with this procedure. Please see links below for information and also the phone numbers for each courthouse office.
In order to try to prevent and minimize the risk of exposure due to the COVID-19 virus, effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Pendleton County Commission is adopting changed procedures for conducting courthouse business. The Commission strongly encourages the public to conduct business via phone or email if at all possible. Should it be absolutely necessary to visit the courthouse in person, we will be practicing social distancing of 6 feet or more, as suggested by the CDC. We will be permitting only one customer at a time in the offices until further notice. The safety and well-being of our customers and staff is our number one priority. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
