The office of the Clerk is charged with a multiplicity of duties by law. In addition to serving as Clerk of the Court, the Clerk also serves as clerk to the County Commission and takes minutes of all actions and records.

Role of the County Clerk

The Clerk's primary responsibility is to establish and maintain all county records. The office of the clerk contains a library of records, such as deeds, maps, and plats pertaining to property located within the county. These records are open to the public and provide valuable data regarding the size, shape and location, legal description, and property owner of all properties situated in Pendleton County.

Voter Registration

The County Clerk conducts countywide special and general elections, handles Early Voting, and generally acts as the Elections Administrator for the county.

You may look up records by book and page or by name.  Not all records are indexed by name at this time, however, we are continually updating and indexing records.  If the word “Image” appears next to a document, this means that the document may be viewed and/or printed.
